March 2015- Summary

Pssst... Is this thing still on??  Missing my long lost blog!  I got so behind that it kept getting pushed aside because I didn't even know where to start.  I am hoping to get March-August summaries entered so that I can regularly post again.  

Here is the update from March in pictures (which is funny because these pictures are very cold looking for it being 82 outside right now!!)-

Sledding

Although we just got a big snowstorm last night, and although we did go sledding (tubing) today...these pictures that I am posting are from our last snow storm over a week ago. I never got around to posting them, well since I rarely use my little camera anymore and that is what I took to snap these because there was no way my good camera was coming out sledding :)

Not too much different between the two times. The boys had so much fun cruising down the hill by our lake. Neither have any fear and screech the whole way down.

I saw this idea on one of the blogs I frequently read My Charming Kids and also on my friend Shanna's Blog and thought it would be a perfect thing to do with my little guys since we have been trapped inside so much due to the cold weather.

Basically its just bringing the snow indoors. I brought in buckets of snow and let the boys play in the sink.



They enjoyed eating it, smashing it, playing with diggers, scooping it with spoons.



I also hid objects in the snow and made them "dig" to find them. It was fun!


Man, was it a HUGE hit!! They played for over an hour and when I finally took Shane down from the chair he threw the worst tantrum of his life. He was not done playing and definitely let me know it!! Hopefully we will be able to play again, soon.

SNOW DAY PICTURES

Snow Day

Its been a relatively mild winter, which is nice. Well it has been quite cold, we just haven't had the snow accumulation that we have had in the past. We did finally get a good amount of snow yesterday. I had John dressed in his winter gear and ready to go outside and explore as soon as Brian was close to being home :) (Brian's friends were actually in the driveway snow blowing, which was a nice surprise) When Brian got home he took John sleigh riding around the property while I snapped a few pictures...then mommy had to return inside to nurse the baby and John and Daddy explored outside a little more.
