Family Photo Session

Now that the Christmas cards have been distributed I can post the beautiful family photo's we had done in late October.  It was so nice to have a quick session with Emily Allen Photography to get some pictures of my family.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Mommy The Professional

Now I am the boys Professional photographer ;) We did a little photoshoot this morning since John just turned 4 and Shane just turned 2. I have to say, it was my most challenging photo session yet. They don't want to listen to mommy who ALWAYS has the camera pointed at them.

Here is a little blue eyed boy who stole my heart back in 2006 and refuses to give it back.

And then to my shock another little blue eyed boy came and stole it some more. It's a good thing its big enough for all the blue eyed boys in my life :)

And those dimples... there is not one person that can pass this child without commenting on those big pits in his cheeks.

I'm partial, and think they are pretty dang amazing.

These two boys make me smile.

And bring me so much joy.

And make me giggle. You know, he is FOUR now??? Why isn't he as surprised as I am??

Four and Two.. when did that happen?

And how do they keep getting cuter and cuter?

Because I know I can't resist those smiles!

And their silly giggles (I can hear it now because I know what this little lad was doing during this picture... jumping up doing a belly flop on the hard ground and laughing about it).

I love my boys more then words can say.

More then I could ever express.

And they love each other too... see!!! (sometimes!)

And I love seeing that!

Professional Pictures

Last week I took John and Shane for the 3yr and 1yr pictures to JCPenny's. I seriously don't know why I try. I don't get the perfect picture and I end up buying more then I want or need.

Here are some thumbnails.

Shane's 6 month professional photo's

I took Shane for his 6 month photo's this week. It was kinda a last minute idea. He did so great, and was full of smiles the whole time. I didn't bother taking John with me, he won't sit still long enough for a picture and I didn't need to deal with that stress. I think they came out cute (I know, I am bias). I had a few collages made, and now I am on the hunt for some frames.

Here are some of the poses.

Professional Photo's

So at the end of April I took the boys to JCPenny's to get pictures done. I seriously don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I thought they would cooperate and we could get a decent shot of the two of them together. I must of had a huge lapse in judgment, because I know deep down that there is no way it would work. It is one thing if I snap them together sitting on daddy's chair or the stroller, but to actually plan it out and have it go according to plan.... well like I said... I don't know what I was thinking.

The shoot itself made me break out into a sweat. John didn't want to stay in the room, and Shane was getting tired and cranky from waiting for it to be our turn. I tried to bribe John with everything under the sun to sit down next to Shane and take a picture. "John I will give you a treat", "how about a pop", "I will buy you a toy, just sit down with Shane". "I will get you a choo choo train". "Anything you want hunny, just SIT"! NOTHING worked. He is too smart for my own good, thats for sure. He wanted to explore the studio, he wanted nothing with sitting down with his brother.

We took a few shots of Shane and John ventured in and we got a few solo shots of him. I got a few cute ones, but I guess I had my expectations set too high, because I wanted the picture of them together. I guess I will settle for individual pictures of them put on the same page.

Here are a few of the pictures (scanned in, so the quality isn't the best). John 2 years, Shane 3 months.

Grandparents, I have your copies.
