We are very thankful this Thanksgiving for all that we have and our wonderful family and friends.

Falling Back
Whoever created the daylight savings ritual must of been a man... or never had kids. My guys were up bright and early this morning.
Halloween was a fun filled week long party. Celebrating with John's school, our Mom's club, and Shane's bouncearama class and then there was trick or treating at three different times. The boys loved it and Mommy and Daddy need to find a place to donate all this Halloween candy too before we go into a sugar coma.

John is enjoying school this year and is really shocking us by what he is learning. Well we have always known him to be a little smart for his own good, but its nice to see him actually focusing. He can now spell his name, all the colors and is slowing moving into site words. Pretty soon Brian and I are going to have to start spelling things we don't want them to know in pig latin since this boy is spelling so much already. John loves enjoying time with his friends these days. He is always asking who we are going to see and what we have planned for the week. This boy is in love with every toy on every commercial. They are really hitting it hard this pre-holiday season with the toy commercials. I hear all day long "I want that!", "Mom, check that out". I think its time he learn to be grateful for what he has and try to get him to realize how lucky he is. John also knows that he is going to be FIVE soon and he knows that turning FIVE is going to make mommy cry (because I tell him that every day! I just can't believe my little blue eyed boy will be FIVE) so he told me he is going to get all the food out of his body so he can shrink a little. Thanks bud ;)

Shane has blossomed so much since having his tubes put in his ears. He talks non stop...all day long. I just stare at him in awe. He is my little terror but has such a sweet side (when he wants to). He idolizes his big brother and wants to do everything he does. On school mornings we have to pack his backpack and lunch too... because I get "I go to scool too mom and see my fwends". There are a few kids in John's class that Shane has taken a liking too. Shane is more into the social aspect...that should be interesting in the years to come.
My two little tornado's rip roar through the house building forts, racing cars, building castles with legos, playing playdoh and destroying all along the way. I need a cleaning fairy...please.
Both Brian and I are trying to enjoy this time with them while they are young, as we can't believe how fast they have grown already. We are enjoying nightly wrestling matches with Dadda, playing games and reading books with Momma. I just wish we could freeze time as it is quickly flying by.

My Little Man Shane
Somehow in the blink of an eye (or a matter of 1 week) my little Shane went from a diaper wearing, bottle drinking, crib sleeping baby to a potty trained, cup drinking, bunk bed sleeping big boy.

There is something to be said for the saying that each child is different and they will do things on their own time. I started last Monday telling Shane we ran out of diapers and he had to use the potty from now on, and that's just what he did. Obviously he was ready and just needed Mommy to have a kick in the pants and be consistent and follow through with no diapers. But I didn't even acutally "train" him. He just did it, from day one, no accidents. I really couldn't believe it. I didn' t have the same experience with John, that's for sure. That time involved a lot of tears...on both of us.

So from the no diaper wearing week we worked into the "Your too big for bottles" and started giving him his milk in a cup. Granted, I knew he was too big for a bottle but he was my baby after all and I wasn't going to push the topic if he still enjoyed them so much. He is doing great with his milk in a sippy cup. Something I never thought I would see because I have tired before to get him to take milk in a cup with no luck.

The boys are bunked in their big boy bunk beds and are loving it. We love making forts from the bottom bunk :)

It looks like my baby is growing up. Nearing three and I just can't believe. I am enjoying them so much as I know this time won't last forever.

Heading into Fall
We got to kick off the end of the summer with a fun birthday party. Our friend Izabella turned 5. We had a great time playing and enjoying a magic show with Lickerish the clown. John and Shane both loved their face's painted and the cool balloons we got.
Laney crawling on John.

Posing for the camera.

Shane the Lion

Woah... spiderman

Spiderman and the Lion

The end of summer totally snuck up on me! I want a redo, please!
We are in full force with fall schedules and daily routines. John is loving school and Shane is signed up for a new bouncearama class and he is super excited about that. He has been asking to go to Bouncearama all summer.
I have a few weddings to photo shoot this fall and some more family shots. I got a big fix of newborns in the month of august. It was so nice cuddling some new babies though!

Stream of Consciousness
t has come to my attention that my blog has been slacking in content lately. That I am missing too many posts in between my posts. I have been trying to manage my time better lately, apparently I need to work on that too!
I guess now is a good time to wrap up our summer activities. We recently returned home for almost 3 weeks in Florida visiting family and friends and of course Mickey's House (as Shane calls it). All of that will be in my next post as I am currently uploading a gazillion pictures from that trip.
Before we left we were able to attend out county fair. Something the kids look forward to each summer. The kids had a great time and were able to enjoy more aspects of the fair this year as they are getting older. And I enjoy the greasy fair food!
John starts school this week. He is excited but isn't quite sure why he can't just return to his old class with his old teacher. He's melts my heart. I am excited for him. He does so well and loves spending time learning and playing with his friends.
One of my oldest and lifelong friends had her first baby just as we were driving home from Florida. I got to snuggle her in the hospital and today at their house as I took some newborn pictures. Congrats Shelly and Brian on the birth of baby Rylee Maureen. Oh my gawd is she just the teeniest tiniest little love. I think I might have to go there daily to get my baby fix in - apparently according to Brian, if I want more I need to find a new baby daddy.
I am also looking forward to meeting my new niece Lia who was born this morning. More on her once we meet :) Congrats to Jessica and Anthony and big sister Keira (who better share her sissy with me too!)
I am not happy on how fast summer flew by. We had a great one and I don't want it to end. Excited for the school year to start and for everyone to get back on schedule.
Some random pictures from this years fair experience.

A little of this and a little of that
I feel like I am constantly playing catch up these days. We have had some busy summer weekends. If we aren't out doing something with the boys, I am at a photo shoot or editing pictures. It is never ending around here.
Last weekend was a busy weekend for us. We attended little Laney's christening

The boys were kinda patient in church. Brian did have to step out with them towards the end because they were getting a little rowdy for sitting still so long.

Followed by Brady's 4th Birthday festivities. It was a hot summer day and the kids enjoyed some water fun, while the big boys played horseshoes all day long. The food was yummy and the Mommy's were able to hang out while the kids roamed and played.

They boys have been enjoying swim lessons at the lake, playing with friends and building endless sand castles, sleepover's at Mimi's, and pizza dinners with Daddy. John has been very daring this year with going completely under the water swimming. And Shane's middle name is Daredevil...some days minus the dare part. Shane has been loving visits to the Pet Store where he can check out the animals and John is eating me out of house and home. I swear every 2 mins he is asking for something else to eat. This better just be a growth spurt.

Let Them Be Little
I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand
Felt so good in it, no bigger than a minute
How it amazes me, you're changing with every blink
Faster than a flower blooms they grow up all too soon
Felt so good in it, no bigger than a minute
How it amazes me, you're changing with every blink
Faster than a flower blooms they grow up all too soon

So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little
I've never felt so much in one little tender touch
I live for those kisses, prayers and your wishes
Now that you're teaching me things only a child can see
Every night while we're on our knees all I ask is please
I live for those kisses, prayers and your wishes
Now that you're teaching me things only a child can see
Every night while we're on our knees all I ask is please
Let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little
So innocent, a precious soul, you turn around
It's time to let them go
It's time to let them go
So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle
Oh just let them be little
Let them be little

Jet's Kids Clinic
We attended the JETS kids clinic this year at the local training facility. They boys had a great time running around playing football with daddy as we were waiting for the drills to start.
They had a fun bounce house obstacle course for the kids to enjoy before everything got started. That was fun for Shane as he couldn't participate in the drills because he was a little too young. They also enjoyed just throwing the football and catching it from daddy.

This seasons rookies were here for the Camp. The kids were seperated into groups and went from drill to drill. John was on the young side but still did remarkably well for being four. I believe the age was 5-12.
