Stream of Consciousness

I love weekends where we really don't have too much to do. We enjoyed an afternoon playing and bowling and napping. It should be a lazy Sunday as well, other then an afternoon photoshoot I have. At least it will give Mimi some time with the boys. And my laundry will get folded (kidding mom!! kinda ;)

Shane talks non stop. Seriously, he talks all day long and cracks me up with the way he says things. I really need to get him on video soon. He always seems to clam up when I have the camera in front of him or "I do it Momma!"

I finally had my kidney stone blasted this past week. I am not quite sure what I was expecting, but I do not think I expected to get an IV and to be put under. It went relatively quickly. Now I am just hoping I pass my stones (or the fragments now) so I don't have to go through it again in two weeks. I have a follow up scan and appointment at the end of this week.

Where has this month gone already? I can't believe we have a few short days to go before we begin National Toni Month ;)

Feeding Our Friends

We have this really great petting farm a few miles down the road from our house. The boys really enjoy petting and feeding the animals.

Shane has been a little more leary lately about pretty much anything (animals, the easter bunny, people he doesn't know) he must be going through a new phase.

John loves feeding the animals and became friends with the donkey over a snack of carrots.

\
Daddy got in on the action too!

Let the Easter Festivities Begin

It always seems like we celebrate holidays weeks before the actual holiday comes. Easter is no exception. The egg hunts this year are two weeks before the holiday. Of course the boys don't mind. Here are some Easter hunt pictures from our lake Easter egg hunt last weekend.

Both would go NO where near the Easter bunny that decided to hop on by to pay all the kids a visit.

"I wanna wide it"

Everything that Shane see's, Shane wants to ride. Tractors, trucks, snowmobiles, motorcycles, heavy equipment, four wheelers, you name it and that boy wants to "wide" it.

So when visiting our next door neighbors today to see their new baby bunnies he discovered their four wheeler parked next to the shed. He took it upon himself to climb right on and said "I wanna wide it". So our neighbor Allen was kind enough to take him for a ride.

And then of course Johnny wanted in on the action. So he got a ride too.

Then for the next two hours Shane repeated "I wanna wide it again."

I Spy With My Eyes....

Want to play a game of I Spy?

I spy with my eyes two guys reading some books in our warm spring weather, relaxing with their feet up with a drink nearby...while....

I enjoyed cleaning up some things that were not taken care of last fall.

I spy with my eyes two little boys in heaven while enjoying time in the sand box that they missed so much all winter long.

I spy with my eyes a little boy that just bit into a ice cold homemade apple juice pop (you know that nail on the chalkboard feeling). I get chills when I look at this picture!

I spy with my eyes a little boy who was instructed to open his eyes so I could take a picture of him looking at the camera and not squinting due to the sun. Not exactly the picture I had in mind but ask and you shall receive.

I spy my two loves!

Happy St. Patricks Day

My Favorite Irish Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

The boys and I this year and in past years.

Daddy enjoy's his St. Patricks Day from the bar stool.

Walk a Little Slower Daddy

This is something I made and framed for Brian a few years back. I just love it so much!

The words read:

"Walk a little slower Daddy,"
said a child so small,
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true,
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."

Kids say the darnedest things

So the other day I overhear John talking to Dada saying "all the air is coming out of these muscles, Dada" while grabbing onto his biceps. John knows that Brian is going to the gym daily to get his muscles bigger and John loves to talk about it.
