NST Update

Well I went for my NST (Non Stress Test) today around 1:30 and Brian came with me. We went in and got hooked up to the monitors, they had me hooked up for about 20 mins, checking the baby's heartrate, compared to contractions and movement. The Dr. came in and wanted me to go get an ultra sound and go up to the hospital to be monitored more... (it kinda worried me, but kinda got me excited that things might be progressing).

So off the the Ultra Sound we went. That went well, they did a biophysical check (whatever that means) and sent the results to the Dr. So off the the hospital we went. Got registered and went up the Maternity Ward, where I was hooked up to the same monitors again. I stayed hooked up for about an hour and the nurse called the dr and they said everything looked good on the ultra sound and that I should call the office and make an appt for Friday.

So if nothing happens before then, I will be going to the dr on Friday. Man Im bummed. :( Come on out already baby!

40 week 1 day appt

Well I just returned from my 40 week 1 day appt and I am still pregnant!! I am still only 1.5 cm dialated, but the dr keeps telling me it can happen at any time...I just wish it would happen already!!

I have a NST (non stress test) scheduled for Monday if nothing happens by then. I will keep you posted!

Updated Kitchen pictures

Well the kitchen is coming along.... and I have been able to cook some yummy stuff so far!!! Now if only the baby will come ;) Here are some updated pictures!

39th week appt.

Well I had my 39th week dr appt today at 1:45. Wow I can't believe only one week to go! or about one week, whenever this little guy decides to come!!
The Dr. said I am still 1.5 cm dialated, but I could really go at any time. So I am suppose to call if a) my water breaks b) contractions are 5 mins apart for over an hour c) any spotting d) lack of movement from the baby. So now it is just wait and see. My next appt is on Jan 20th. the day after he is supposly due. We shall see!!!! I hope I go on Monday (or as soon as my kitchen is done...hehehhehee)

The Kitchen Redo.

So the renovations are moving forward, and we are just about there. There has been such a huge change in the last month, I can't even believe it is the same place. Here are some pictures of the process. Demolition begins... I bet that was the "fun" part!


Then we received some help with the spackle process! Thanks Dad and Glen!!! (what lifesavers!) Brian and I will never be cut out to spackle! We wore more then we got on the walls!



Then me and momma painted. You can't really see it here, but it is a pale slate blue called "Evening Shadow" I love the color! Then the installation of the cabinets and countertops began!! Thanks for your help Dad and Jerry!! The boys knocked out the kitchen installation in 6 hours... I was so happy to finally see my kitchen together!! There are still a few things that need to be done, but it is such a drastic change!!!!

The Nursery

Well the nursery is complete and ready for the baby. It took a while because we completed gutted the room and started. But I love the way it came out!!! Here are a few pictures of the crib/bedding, the dressers and the closet I have since added alot more things. There is no room left in the closet ;)

Waiting for Baby.....

So now we are down to single digits...9 days til John is due. Im sure he will come when he is ready not when we are, but if he could just hold out until after next weekend I would be set. I still have somethings I would like to get done with the kitchen and dining room. I started packing my hospital bag, but alot of stuff I am still using, so alot will have to wait til last minute. At my last Dr.'s appt on Friday Jan 6th I was 1.5 cm dialated...not that it means much. I hear about all these self induction ideas, and in my head I am thinking, he will come when he is ready, no reason to push him out of the only home he has known his whole life. But, Brian and I are so excited that we will get to meet him soon!
