Things typically come in three's right. Ususally bad things. Well Brian first broke his leg, then had metal removed for his eye, and is now home sick with the stomach bug going around. Poor guy. Hopefully this is the end of his bad luck streak!
He goes for an eye xray on Saturday, because you CANNOT have an MRI if there is metal in your eye, and with what just happened last week, he is getting the xray to check. Then his MRI is scheduled for Monday at 4pm. I sware, they waiting long enough!
We had John's 1 year well baby visit this morning. He is 23 lbs 8 oz and 32 inches long. He is slowing down alot in weight, which is nice to know, and is still standing steady in his height. All in all he is perfect :D but we (or I) already knew that :D

John's First Birthday PARTY!!
We had John's first Birthday party on Saturday (1/27/07) It was a big hit, and it seemed like everyone had a great time! John was a little cranky at the end, but he was so overtired, I kinda expected it. Thanks SO much to everyone that helped clean up after, and to everyone that offered! It was greatly apprieciated!!!

Brian Update continue.....
Well, I just wanted to post a little Brian update. Because we all know how well he likes to communicate :D
He is still waiting on a call to schedule the MRI for his right leg. It is still hurting him, but not nearly as much as before. He does have an appt with the Orthopedist tomorrow, but he is trying to re-schedule after the MRI is done. He has been waiting for thelady that handles the Workman's Comp cases to call and set up the appt. So I will keep you posted on what happens there.
Friday at work Brian got some metal in his eye. So that was bothering him all weekend. He couldn't flush it out with anything, he couldn't sleep, he was miserable! He decided that after John's party to go up to the ER. The dr there attempted to get it out with no luck. It was embedded in the eye (the pretty blue part :( ) So he had an appt today with an eye dr in Sparta. This morning when he went the eye dr said it must of loosened last night, because it was no longer there, but he did clean out the rust that was left behind..OUCH, just hurts thinking about it! It has been bothering him still, but I think that is more of the poking and proding that has been going on. Hopefully it feels better tomorrow.

John News (1 year old)
Well we don't have John's well baby visit until Wednesday the 31st, but Brian is predicting he is about 25lbs. He was 22 something at his nine month appt. We shall see though.
He has had one bottom tooth for a few months now, and is now working on a few more. One of his top front teeth broke through the gums 2 weeks ago, and is still making its way down. The other top front tooth broke through the gums on Friday, and it looks like the second front bottom tooth will be braking through at any moment. He does pretty well, he just kinda chews on his fingers throughout the day, and then I drug him at night :D
He is really mastering the walking. His balance seems to improve by the day. Im sure within the month he will walk more then crawl. Its strange seeing him walk (also strange seeing him with teeth..lol) Its like this little man walking around, just the cutest thing! I just can't get enough of him...but I never could ;)

Wow, where has the year gone?? I just can't believe he is one today!! Yesterday John was sick, so we are taking it easy today (I think he threw up a totat of 5-6 times) We are suppose to go to a Kid Fun place with my mom this afternoon, but Im going to play it by ear, and then tonight Grandma and Tom where going to come over. Hope my little guy is feeling better today and is in tip top shape for his birthday bash on Saturday!!

30 Goals for the Year
Here are 30 things that I want to accomplish this year. To read more "30 things" go to Lolly's and Erin's. I saw this on Erin's blog, and just loved the concept! Thanks Ladies!
1. I will start and finish John's first year scrapbook.
2. I will go on an overnight trip with just Brian.
3. I will remember to send cards for birthdays and special occasions.
4. I will try to update my blog more, rather then wait a week and add 10 posts ;)
5. I will take better care of myself, by eating better and excersizing
6. I will organize my office and put everything in a spot!
7. I will redo John's room to organize his toys and make more room for him to play.
8. I will paint and put new floors in the dining room.
9. I will say "I love you" more and mean it!
10. I will appreciate my husband more.
11. I will take John on a special outing once a week.
12. I will laugh more.
13. I will read more. (and not just gossip magazines)
14. I will go out with my girlfriends more.
15. I will enjoy a day at the spa :D
16. I will call my grandparents more often, I miss them!
17. I will turn the TV off more, and put the music on.
18. I will shower daily :D (sometimes this one is challenging, between work and Baby)
19. I will agree to disagree sometimes :D
20. I will start cutting coupons weekly and use them :D
21. I will enojoy every minute I spend with my son, knowing just how fast the time disappears.
22. I will call my out of state friends more, just to shoot the breeze and catch up on daily life happenings.
23. I will fold the laundry when its done in the dryer and not let it sit overnight.
24. I will attempt to get my husband to agree to go get a family picture done in a studio (i need alot of luck on this one :D)
25. I will back up my photo's more often!
26. I will make some more time for Brian and I in our daily lives.
27. I will try a few new receipes that I have been wanting to try for so long.
28. I will stop spending money on things we don't need, but I WANT. (a girl likes to shop :D)
29. I will put shelves up in the LR (well Brian will put them up, I will tell him where), and put all my pictures back up on display :D (then i will do the previous goal..lol)
30. I will be completely amazed if I achomplish all my goals, and if I do I will treat myself to ice cream :D :D

My new niece Keira
Jessica had her little girl on Tuesday Jan 16, 2007- Keira Anne 7lbs 2oz 19 1/4 in. She is so adorable, and I just can't wait to meet her! I am so happy for Jess and Anthony! Here are a few pictures of the cutie!! 
Brian update
Well, Brian has his appointment with the Orthopedist, and they took some more x-rays. He broke his right leg. (the small bone, so its not weight baring...it just really hurts!) He has to go for a MRI to see what ligament damage their is. So we are waiting for the lady to call once she gets it approved through workman's comp.

We have a Walker :D
John has been taking steps for a little over a week now. He would take one or two and then fall, now he is getting the hang of it and walking across the room. It is so cute. Here is a short video of him walking.

John received a present from Auntie Beth, Uncle Tom and Shane, it is three little puzzles and he just loves to play with them. He is constantly carrying over the box to Brian or I to open and spill out for him. He is so funny, because he doesn't even let you get the puzzle put together before he destroys it. Here is John and Daddy playing with the puzzle.

Well Brian and I made some new valances for the living room windows. I think they came out really great, and totally make the room pop more. Here are a few pictures :D

BANANA boy
Here is John's first attempt at a whole banana. He seemed to enjoy it, and was covered in it in the end. I just love his expressions! Im sure it felt good on his gums. He is teething really bad right now.

John just loves to play, laugh and have a good time. Here are a few pictures of him playing in his room, and checking himself out in the mirror. I can't believe he will be 1 in less then 2 weeks.
