I'm Gonna Get You

The boys love being chased around the house so that either Brian and I can run after them. As you threaten to "get them" the keep going faster and faster away from you. Always looking back to make sure you are still "coming" and trying to run even faster away from you.

Now that Shane is getting a bit bigger he has finally picked up some speed on his walk. He cruises all over the house almost running. He totally shocked both of us by how fast he gets by.

Enjoy the Journey

John and Shane,

I hope that you enjoy the journey. Sit back and cherish the moments you get to share with the people that mean the most to you.

Enjoy the great outdoors, playing, using your imagination.

Enjoy being kids, making me laugh, telling silly jokes.

Enjoy each other.

I love you!

Love, Momma

Clara's Second Birthday Party

Miss. Clara had a fabulous Second birthday. She was loving the fact that she knew everyone that was at Bouncearama to celebrate her day! She didn't sit still for a minute and was climbing, jumping, sliding and running around. The boys had a great time as did all the other kids.

Here are a few highlights. The album can be found HERE

Loving the Lego's

John and Shane love playing lego's with Mimi. She makes it so fun as she builds castles and they tear them down ;)

Visiting with Grandma

For the past week the boys have had a great time visiting with Grandma. We don't get to see her (and Tom) as often as we would like so it was nice for the boys to spend some time together.

We will surely miss you when you return home to sunny FLA.

Happy Birthday Zachery!

*** I thought this posted yesterday 2.18.09 but it never was published******

Brian's godson Zach is EIGHT today.. wow, I kinda just had to think really long and hard about that right now. I can't believe he isn't 3 anymore.

It is just amazing to watch Zach and his brothers (Jacob and Brycen) interact with our boys. They are so great with them. They love wrestling and acting crazy, but the totally tone it down with our boys and are so protective and brotherly. John and Shane love spending time with the boys.

Happy Birthday Zach! We hope you had a great day!

Welcome Karina Mae

My friend Katie (and her husband Peter) had their baby late last night and I just couldn't wait to share the good news.

Mom and baby are both doing well. Can't wait to see how the big brothers take to their new little sister. I wish you were not all the way in California and I could snuggle her too!!

Happy 13 months Shane

My little monkey is 13 months already. How can he be more then a year?

In the last month he has seemed to grow and flourish so much. He is now a full time walker and pretty much weaned from nursing (1-2 sessions a day still...sometimes). He is taking the bottle like a champ which is cool to see because neither of my boys enjoyed the bottle much, it was always a struggle.

Shane is teething something fierce. He constantly has his fingers in his mouth munching. But boy oh boy is he a smiler. He smiles with his whole face. His smile brings so much joy to our family. I love his dimples and his crunched up nose.

Shane loves wrestling with Dada and Johnny and totally holds his own. It is quite scary to watch, as my baby is rolling around with arms and legs and elbows flying. But he handles it like a champ going back for more and more and more.

Your getting so big Shane....slow down a little. I want to enjoy that baby chunk a little while longer!

Some Outside Winter Play

This weekend was warm enough to take the boys outside for a little while and get some fresh air. Brian started on some yard cleanup and I thought it would be a great idea to bring the boys out to watch. After helping daddy shovel gravel in the driveway the boys headed to the back for some swinging, soccer, baseball and bird watching.

Hopefully it will start getting warmer soon!

Still Training Them Young

Here is my little man helping out with the household duties. As soon as he hears the vacuum turn on he books it over to me and begs for me to give him the vacuum. Its too cute.

John was just as big as a helper when he was little. I found a past post with him helping me clean the floors. John Cleaning

Playdate with the Grundy Boys

Last week Beth and the boys came over for a much needed play date. We haven't been able to get together in so long. It was nice to let them roam around and play while we chatted. I always feel like there just isn't enough time. We will have to do it again real soon :)

Dean is just as cute as can be!

Shane wouldn't sit still or pose for the camera. He was too busy exploring.

Visit with Aunt Suzy

Last week Aunt Suzy came over for a visit since she was in town for a wedding.

John and Shane had a blast playing with Aunt Suzy. We were even able to go for a nice walk down to the muddy park. Needless to say we walked there and back and didn't play. But it was nice to get out for a little while and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

Thanks for bringing the sunshine Suz. Now move back to NJ please :) Florida doesn't need you as much as we do :)

My Boys

You both make me so proud to be your Mommy. You are my sunshine and I love you both to pieces!

John you are such a kind soul. You come across shy but quickly open up. Your new favorite love is Scooby Doo (thanks to Jackson..lol). You love asking mommy and daddy a billion and one questions a day. You have been fighting nap time lately which has been a little rough for me. Some days you will take it, some days you want nothing to do with it (like today). You have such a peaceful presence about you. Always wanting to make sure everyone is "okay". We just want to get you potty trained so you can start school, and you are so reclutant and want nothing to do with it. I honsetly don't think you are ready...so I am going to stop pushing you...promise.

Shane you are so strong and spirited. You do things that make me feel like I am a first time mom all over again. Your a climber and anything you can get that chubby little leg up on you flip your whole body along too. Your a smiler unless your tired. You shoot out the biggest grins with the biggest pits in those cheek. We love when you are laughing so hard that your nose scrunches up it is seriously one of the cutest things. Your a great napper, but a terrible sleeper at night. Granted you did have a good streak, but now that teething has begun you are getting up so grumpy in the wee hours of the morning. I hope its shortlived.

You both mean the world to me. I love you more then you will ever know!

I truly hope you grow up to be great friends.
