Summer Fun

This week the boys and I went up to Jessie's dad's house to visit. Oh what fun did Johnny have. I am not sure what was his favorite- Swimming, playing with the goats, feeding the horses, playing soccer with Collin and Erik, getting eggs from the chickens, playing in the sandbox, going down the slide, checking out the coy fish, hitting the ball off the T, eating ice pops with Clara, or enjoying his favorite meal of Cheeseburgers and fries.

He hasn't stopped talking about it since.

Thanks for letting us join you Jessie and Clara, and Thanks to Mr. Price, Liz, Erik and Collin for sharing your home with us!! We had a great time!

Take me out to the ball game

Thanks to our friend Shelly (and her brother Craig) Brian and I were able to take the boys to Yankee Stadium last night to see one of the last games in the original Yankee Stadium. It was a last minute outing, and we all enjoyed it. John was so excited the whole way to the Bronx to go to the baseball game.

The boys were great while we were there, taking in all their surroundings. John asked a million questions and was so curious to everything he saw. Shane did so well, and didn't fuss at all.

We stayed until about the 6th inning and then headed back to the car to put the boys in their PJ's and head home.

John would not sleep a wink on the way home, he was too excited about his outing at the stadium.

We had a great time and are very lucky we were able to take the boys to Yankee Stadium before they closed at the end of this season.

I wish I took more pictures, but I had my hands full :)

Love You Baby Boy

you are more perfect
than I could have hoped,
more beautiful than I could have dreamed,
more precious than I could have imagined...
...I love you more than
I could have known

Gone Fishing

Your first of many fishing trips, John. The excitement in your eyes when the fish were biting on your bait was priceless. You love throwing out the line and reeling it back in, over and over again.

Happy Half Birthday John

You are two and a half today, that just blows me away. It seems like you have grown up so much since you were two, six short months ago. I guess becoming a big brother does that to you.

You are such a laid back little man. You always just go with the flow. You are always up for going outside or anywhere thats not home. You get excited to go to the store, and its quite cute. I wish I could be as excited :) You are very reserved, but do make it known when you are not happy with something.

Your smile brings me so much joy. I love to sit back and watch you play. Your imagination is so creative. You are constantly asking questions. Your favorite question now is "What's that, Momma?" It doesn't matter if it is an object, person or a place, its THAT. As much as I hear it ALL day long, I still love that you are curious, even if you know what the answer to your question is.

You have one joke. And it cracks me up over and over again, as well as yourself.
John- "knock knock"
Momma- "Whose there?"
John- "Wacka Wacka"

Your so silly.

I LOVE that when you leave home with someone else, when you return home you RUN to me with open arms and say "Momma I home!"You have so much excitement in your voice and give me the biggest bear hug. I love that you are as happy to see me as I am to see you! I always miss you tons when we are apart. I hope you miss me when your older too :)

You love helping Momma cook. Your favorite has to be sweets (brownies, cake, cupcakes).

You even helped Momma make your cupcakes today so we can celebrate 2 1/2. Thanks John, I love your help.

Ok, Momma, get that camera out of my face! Don't you think you took enough pictures of me today?

I love you Boo!! Happy 1/2 Birthday :)

Lunch at Rubby's

Grandma and Tom picked John up this week to go to Aunt Loretta's (Rubby's) house for lunch.

It seemed like they had fun enjoying lunch, playing in the sprinkler, and getting ice cream.

Loving my Dada

I love capturing moments with John and his Dada.

Dada is a jungle gym. He is fun to climb on, swing from, ride on, hang from, poke, wrestle with and rough house with.

And Dada enjoys every minute of it.

But his favorite is the hugs and snuggles he gets from John.

And I love capturing these special moments. I think I already said that though ;)

Special Talent

So Shane has a special talent.

I bet some of us wish we could still do this ;)
