Last Day of 2013-2014 School Year
The kids had been counting down since sometime in May so they were pretty excited when it had ended.
The end of 2nd and Kindergarten for the boys. Allison will be happy to have her boys home more. I'll let you know how I feel about it in a few weeks. I need to work so they need to behave!

Shane's First Day of School
So Shane's first day of school was delayed a little while due to the flooding we had in our area. He kept asking day after day, "Is it my turn to go to school?" He was super excited to start.
Well, he doesn't look to excited...does he?

This boy has perfected the "Cheese Face"
Getting ready to walk into school.
He really has been enjoying school. He will not let me go with with him anymore
and demands to be dropped off at the door. Wahhh Wahhh. It's kinda a blessing in
disguise as I need to get to work those days and am already running late. John never
wanted to be dropped off, and Shane never wants to be walked in. I am really excited for
all he will experience this year and I just love his teachers!!

John's first day of Kindergarten
Here are a series of pictures from John's first day of Kindergarten:
We woke up and the weather wasn't as perfect as I would of liked it. But we made the best of a rainy day.
Here John is waiting in the van for the bus to arrive.
Johnny posing with his buddy Brian. Brian and John went through the last two years of school together and now are both in the same Elementary school (in separate classes). But they do get to enjoy sitting on the bus together and recess.

Little Man first in line to get on the bus.
I thought about him a lot that day while he was at school. I worked from home that day so that I could be there to drop him off and pick him up from the bus stop. I wondered how it was navigating around the school, how he felt about his new surroundings, how he was enjoying his new friends. I was so excited to find out about his day when he took those steps off the bus. I asked about his first day and I got a lot of "I don't remember.", "Maybe", "I think so".
After school John got to enjoy the homemade cookie that I made for him for his first day.
