Ornament Party

We attended the annual Ornament Party with Brian's family on Saturday (Dec. 30th, 2006) It was John's first one, and he seemed to enjoy himself. I wish we could of stayed longer, but he decided not to nap, and was getting cranky, so we left a little early (but we where the first to arrive, so I don't feel as bad).

Here are a few pictures of us at the Overlook in Montclair before we got to The Farrelly house.

And here is one of John and "Great" Uncle Mike

Playdate with Brady

Julie and Brady came over for a playdate on Friday afternoon. It was the first time that John and Brady actually got to interact and play together, now that Brady is getting bigger (he is 5 months old). Here are some pictures from the playdate, you can

playing in the Ball Pit

Here is a short video of John playing in his ball pit. He just loves it!

Christmas 2006

Well, we hope everyone had a MERRY CHRISTMAS. We did at the Carman household. John really enjoyed his first christmas, and he was a trooper through it all. Christmas eve we made our way over to Ginny's to see Opa, Ginny, Aunt Gloria and Lauren. It was a nice night, with YUMMY food. John enjoyed playing in his new ball pit and with his sled. He also enjoyed chasing Rasta around. Christmas Day Brian, John and I celebrated in the morning, and then we had all the grandparent's over to our house. Another day of YUMMY food and watching our little guy rip open his presents. He had so much fun playing with everything. He was truly blesssed! So many people love him. He just loves the ball pit aunt Lauren got him, the wooden rocking horse from Pop Pop and Shari, all the fabulous clothes from Ginny and Aunt Jessica & Uncle Anthony, the Swing and Bounce Zebra from Grandma, the sled, wooden toys and baseball mit from Opa, and the Sports Center, Bike, Hammer, Tool box, Piano, walker and winter clothes from Mimi. (just to list a few :D) Now I need a bigger house :D

Here are a few select pictures, you can click HERE for the whole album.

Bronx Zoo

Well we just got back from the Bronx Zoo with my friend (aka Boss..LOL) Alexis and her daughter Hannah, and Pop Pop and Shari. We all had a great time! The kids just loved checking out the animals, and we even got to enjoy the holiday lights on display. The weather was great (especially for December in NJ). Here are some pictures from our day at the zoo. I think John's favorite part was the carousel ride, he was grinnig from ear to ear. The whole album can be found HERE

John's Baptism

Thank you to everyone that was able to be such part of such an important day in John's life.

We had John Baptised on Sunday (December 17th, 2006) at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church and the ceremony was wonderful. Everyone really seemed to enjoy Deacon Bob Davis' as he welcomed John into the Catholic Faith. John's godmother is my best friend Suzanne Ratti, and his godfather is Brian's best friend Chuck Mafaro. After the ceremony we had a little celebration at the Sparta Ambulance buliding. Thanks to everyone that helped out with that! We couldn't of done it without you!!

Visit with Santa

So, we where finally able to make it to see Santa today. We went and picked Julie and Brady up, and met Kristie and Hanna at Lafayette Village. It was so quick and so easy. All babies cooperated and there was no lines! How wonderful. And to top it off, we could take our own pics and didn't have to purchase one. YAY! Here are some pictures!!

"Hmm Who are you and what do you want"

" Um, Get me out of here!!"

"Ok, one quick picture mom"

"Mom, I said just one, this is the second"

Our first family Christmas Tree

Well, we finally where able to put our tree up. It has been sitting in the garage since last weekend. It was quite a struggle, but well worth it. (Brian might not agree :D) John woke up this am to a beautifully decorated tree, and he was so amazed. He has been quite good around it so that is good. Here are some pictures of him exploring his first christmas tree.

I'm a big boy now

I turned John's car seat to forward facing. I was going to wait til over a year old, but he was just so scrunched, espcially with shoes on. I had to take his shoes off in order for him to sit rear facing. He just loves facing foward. and I have to admit, it is so much easier for me to see and hand him things.

Our new furniture has arrived :D

So, I finally finished painting the LR. It came out really nice. So much better then it was. My wonderful mother got us new couches and Brian a new recliner (for every birthday and holiday for the next 20 years). They are just so nice, and I love them. Here are a few pics of our new furniture.
