Terror

So here is the little terror getting into more trouble..lol I put him in his play pen to get some stuff done and I came back and he emptied two shelves of DVD's and CD's into and around his playpen.

Thanksgiving and visit with family

Well, we had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Oma and Opa came up from FLA for a visit. Its the first time since 1984 that they where up for a holiday, so that was nice. They really enjoyed spending time with John and he enjoyed it too.

Another weekend has past

Why do Sunday nights always come SO FAST! We had a good weekend. My first 1/2 week of work went well, so that is good. We are getting ready to redo a few rooms in the house, so I am really excited about that. We are putting a wall up in the LR to divide the laundry/computer room from the rest of the house. This will include a new wall/door, fresh paint and carpet and a new couch :D Once we get that squared away, we are going to do a temporary fix to the dining/porch area. Fresh coat of paint, some new lighting and some new tile on the floor. I think those two changes will make me really happy!!!

I am still waiting on my camera. I did miss a delivery from Fed Ex on Friday, so that was probably it. So hopefully it will come monday and I will be all set. I want to attempt to take John's christmas card picture. I have an idea, lets pray it works.

John's Baptism invites went out. Im getting alot of "they look so great" responses. That's so sweet! I worked hard on them, and hope people liked them.

Saturday I hung out with Shelly. Seems like so long since we got together. Her and Brian just got a new house, so we have alot to talk about in that department. She ran some errands with John and I, which was nice to have someone to chat with, then we had dinner at Applebee's YUM! Sunday, I stopped at Alexis's (my new boss..lol) to pick up my new work laptop. That will be nice to keep work and personal seperate. We stayed for about 2 hours. Its nice to go visit somewhere that is already babyproofed. She has a 2 year old daughter Hannah Paige. Hannah napped for a little while and then came and played with John. She is getting so big, and John enjoyed the playmate.

Where do the days go. Sometimes I wonder if my head is screwed on tight :D We have so much coming up soon its exciting and overwhelming !!

Thanksgiving we will be at my dad's (Ginny's), my grandparents are coming up from Fla, and we haven't spent a holiday with them since the early 80's, so I am looking forward to that. Then up next will be John' s baptism in mid December, then Christmas, and then John 's first birthday. All in the matter of 2 months. WOWSERS :D

And my new job starts

So, everything happened really really quick. Once I recieved the contract I started the next day. I am working for the sister company of my old company. (I think I explained this already). I really can't complain. It just fell into my lap, exactly what we where looking for and needed. I can work from home and still be with my son, and still help contribute to the bills I help make :D

Anyway, it will be challenging, esp after being exhausted after the first day :) I tried to get some work done during John's naps today, so I got a total of 1.5 hours done during the day, and then once Brian came home and dinner was done, I got back to work. Brian tried to keep John entertained, but he kept wanting to play with mommy on the computer. So that will be an interesting goal to keep him away. Then I took a break to put John to bed, and before I even got John settled Brian was OUT! So when do I get to rest??? Was I not up with John last night? I understand that Brian gets up and goes to work, but watching John is a full time job within itself. I just can't drill that deep enough into his head to make him understand. oh well.

John's first tooth is sprouting. FINALLY :D Alot of people have been telling me that the longer it takes for the teeth to come in, the stronger they are. Well I bet these are some strong a$$ teeth! There is just the little hole where the tooth is coming through now. (when he lets me in there) I usually have to catch him laughing or smiling to see. Because he likes to hide it with his tounge, or better yet, clamp his lips closed so I can't get in there. When did this little boy get so smart. He truely amazes me everyday. I just can't believe the amount of milestones in the first year. He is so independant and likes things on his terms.

I am hoping to have his baptism invites out by the end of the week. I wanted to have them out by the end of last week, but I was waiting on some addresses, and I need to pick up some stamps. (but i have been without car...brian's was in the shop for brakes)

Ok, time to go relax.

I've Created a Monster

John just loves to get into everything!!!! He is sooooo active, and it is so cute (at times), other times I miss the baby that just stayed in one place and watched his surroundings. He is so fast!!! Its so cute when he see's something he wants, he hightails it. He walks behind his walker, and that is just adorable. He is getting so big. He usually doesn't get to far, because he has to stop and sit down so he can clap for himself ...hahaha he is so my child :D He just loves clapping and love when mommy and daddy clap with him. Daddy is the light of his life :D (I am too, but he see's me all the time and Daddy not as much) As soon as Daddy gets home John won't let him out of his site. But Brian just loves every minute of it. He truley has melted both of our hearts.

Well, I think I have finally landed a PT work from home job :D :D Im still working on the details and awaiting the contract. If everything works out it will be for the "sister" company of the company I use to work for. The owner of my old company (CSSC), also owns another company (iPT) so I would be working for iPT. I would be doing the same thing I was doing for CSSC. Basically developing documents for their validation department. But they are letting me work from home. They did mention that I might have to go in once in a while, if I can't access a system remotely, but they would give me notice so I can work things out with John. Brian is really happy about it too. It should be interesting working with John here, or working after he goes to sleep. No rest for me! But Im just happy that I can be home with him and in the end that is all that matters :D

And he Returns

So George is home now. He was picked up by animal control and made it home safe. $40.00 later, but safe and he didn't get hurt or hurt anyone, so that is good!

I don't have any recent pictures. I had to send my camera into the the manufactuer because when taking John for a walk on Halloween day I was carrying him in his stroller down the stairs (i must think i am super woman or something) the camera bounced out of the holder and hit the slate step and it cracked the LCD screen. So hopefully its a quick fix. Im going through camera withdrawls!!! I will find out more this week. I just love that camera!!!

We had a fun weekend. We went to visit Grammy (my mom) and then went to Ginny's to visit with Jessica, Lauren, Ginny and Opa. John was such a good boy for being out ALL DAY!

I think he is finally teething.. better late then never right!! He chomps on his fingers like they are dinner...all the time. I feel a little bump, but Im still waiting to see the pearly whites. I know Im gonna stick my finger in there once and he is gonna chomp down!

Oh George!

So I let George out yesterday on his lead, and got John ready to go for a walk. It was so beautiful out. Not like our typically NJ Novemeber weather, thats for sure. So we head outside and George's lead was up on the porch.....but George wasn't. I was a bit confused at first...did I already let him in? I checked, no George. Hmmmm that little brat took off. UGH! So I didn't want to walk far incase he came back (you kind of have to lure him back in). So John got jipped on his walk. We just walked up and down our road, so I could see the house, and then we hung out on the porch and waited. Then we finally went inside. My mom stopped by during lunch and went looking in her car (im without car, because Brian has been using mine because his needs breaks) and my mom came back with no George. So George never came back. (i so wish this was the end of the story...but its not). So Brian looked a little bit for him when he got home, and he didn't see him. Then Brian called the local police today, and then animal control. And he located him. I knew we wouldn't get out cheap (story of my life) He is in the pound. In Wantage...UGH!!! So Brian got ahold of Chuck today, to see if he could go get George, because Brian is working in Allentown, and then has class in Newark. So Chuck comes to the house, gets the leash, a check and Brian's truck and goes to the Wantage pound. Well Brian called the guy that works there ahead of time and lets him know someone is coming. Well Chuck gets there and no one is there. He waited for 45 mins, and no one ever came. So Chuck returned with the check and the truck...and no dog. So now he has to spend another night in the pound, and I will be damned if I am paying another fee for this additional day. To be continued.....
