Fall Recap

A little catch up before Christmas festivities this week :)  Fall came and went in a blink of an eye.  Here are some of our Fall 2012 highlights.

We met Opa, Ginny, Jessica, Keira and Lia at a local Farm to pick pumpkins and enjoy some fall activities.  Here is John and Opa on the Train ride.

Technical Difficulties

Let me blow the dust off this thing.  I know it's been a while since I posted, or updated (other then the quick picture the other day).  But it hasn't been because I haven't tried. I have attempted numerous times to update the blog and post some fall pictures, but it looks as though the last 6 years of posting has clogged up all the memory blogger will provide to me for free.  So I am checking into my options and next steps to determine what steps to take next.  I am sure it will come down to just buying additional storage, but I need to check all my options before doing so.

Stay tuned.....

A little teaser before I go....

My Witches

Not really sure anyone would understand if I tried to explain what these girls mean to me.  My witches are full of love, guidance and acceptance topped with a little sugar and spice.
I am blessed with some amazing friends in my life.

It's The Little Things

Each night I go about my normal routine of setting out my work clothes for the next day and then setting up shop next to the computer for a few hours of work after a full day of work.  Lately I have been feeling a presence of someone looking over my shoulder, or capturing a glimpse of someone watching me.  After the first initial shock, I ask why my little guy has wondered out of bed again.  His reply “I’m scared”.  This is new.  Ever since my kids were about a year old they have been great sleepers.  We would put them to bed and didn’t hear from them until morning.  John is still pretty good in the fact that he will not get out of bed unless he has to go potty.  But Shane has never been one to follow the rules.  So last night as I was picking my clothes out for work, and talking to Brian while he was watching tv I glance past him and see this shadow and this little voice saying “I’m scared”.  My initial reaction was “Ok, let’s get back into bed, I will turn the light on in your room”. I want to stick to the good routine we have going on and not get in the habit of having four people in our bed each night.  I didn’t even get to finish the sentence before he was in bed, under the covers, snuggling daddy.  As soon as Daddy reached out his arms, Shane went running.  Brian and I talked about how I didn’t want to get in this habit of them coming out of the room after we put them into bed and the wise man said “They won’t want to snuggle us forever. They won’t want to come into our room at night for much longer”.  It’s true.  And as the days pass I often think about all the times we would snuggle and how it’s becoming less frequent by the day.  I went into the boys room and told John he could come out and snuggle daddy too.  So my three boys passed out in my bed for the night.  I joined them for a little while, and then listened to the giggles from the computer as I worked.  Those boys are my world, and growing way to fast!
