Weekend Review

A little weekend recap

Brian's family had a wonderful shower to celebrate me and our little princess.  I forgot my camera, but couldn't resist snapping a few cute pictures of the fruit platter and cake.  How perfect!

After the shower, I had to meet Brian and grab the boys.   Since we met at the mall I thought it was the perfect opportunity to shop.  I think the boys have been to the mall less times then they have been to Disney World. It is just not a place I take them to...ever.

They enjoyed the rides.  Multiple times.

After a quick trip in The Children's Place for some summer necessities we headed over to Build A Bear to cash in on our stone jar earnings (each time the boys do something that they should do without being asked, or help with chores or other good things they get a stone in their jar.  Once the jar is filled they get a toy from the store- or a stuffed animal from Build A Bear)  They really enjoyed Build A Bear.

Shane made Sulley from Monster's INC.

John made Sponge Bob.

After making their stuffed friend, they had to wash them.

Then we set out and headed home, after making one quick stop to see Mimi at work.
I made them carry all their goodies.
This Mama is carrying enough extra baggage at the moment.

Sunday was Father's Day.  We are blessed to have some amazing father's in our life.
After a quick photoshoot in the morning, we had the rest of the day to spend together.

We lounged a little.....

Went down to the park and played soccer, football and had a BBQ.

Cooling off in the brook whenever we could.

Skipping rocks was a big hit as well.

Camping and Fishing

Our lake hosts a Fishing Contest for the kids each year. This is the first year that we participated. It starts out Friday night with camping and ends Saturday with fishing. John and Daddy set up camp on Friday night and Shane and I went down for a visit. John had such a great time playing in the field, checking out the stream stocked with fish and enjoying some time with his Daddy. Shane loved roaming the field and visiting all the fellow campers. That boy is not shy!

This boy is always on the move..running fast!

We weren't sure if John was going to end up sleeping in the tent or if he would be driven home. But after a late night phone call requesting to come home and Momma talking him out of it because he is a big boy and he would enjoy sleeping in the tent with Daddy, he gave in and stayed all night.

I snapped a few pictures before I headed home for the night. It was dark, but my flash obviously took that away. He was playing cars by "flashlight".

Its going to be exciting to see them participate in this each year.
